Charlie's Summer Song Ross had written a song for his daughter, Emily (Fair Emily), so her younger brother Charlie decided he needed a song, too. Ross had just finished writing this song, so he gave it to Charlie by calling it "Charlie's Summer Song". There's a certain kind of great day and a certain way of doing nothing that only a child can fully enjoy. This song captures just such a way of spending just such a day. I was originally going to put sounds of children playing at the end, but I couldn't find a decent sample, and didn't have the patience to try to create one. April's excellent vocal jam got me out of that jam. I was going for a sort of "Neil Young" rhythm in this one. Didja notice I play "chopsticks" on the keyboard at the end?
