The Shadow Left By The Moon

Ross used to just play this song by himself and he considered dropping
the song, saying it just put people to sleep.  With the arrangement,
and especially the organ and April's vocal parts, the song really came
to life.  On the bass, I borrowed at least one lick from Donovan and
another from Barry Manilow.  In a session once, I playfully described
the organ intro as "Hello, I'm an organ.  You'll be hearing more from
me later in the song.  Well, bye!".

April was going for the vocal effect she liked so much in the Olivia
Newton-John and John Denver song "Fly Away".
